We are seeking a motivated and skilled lab-based Associate Scientist to join our dynamic team focused on cellular assays in the cardiovascular pharmaceutical sector. This temporary role involves working with state-of-the-art technologies to establish, develop, optimize, and execute cellular assays for hit characterization, high-throughput screening, and compound profiling.
Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location or hold an EU passport.
Responsibilities:
- Support the cellular assays function to generate novel small molecule starting points for drug discovery.
- Ensure smooth transition from project inception through assay development to high throughput screening.
- Foster effective collaboration with internal and external partners.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Apprenticeship or a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, particularly in a laboratory setting.
- Proficiency in cellular assay techniques, including cell culture, assay design, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to analyze complex data and present findings clearly.
- Experience in basic pharmacology, design-of-experiment, and automated liquid-handling is advantageous.
- Strong scientific curiosity, problem-solving skills, and communication abilities.
- Fluent in English.
