The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) DACH will report to the Associate Medical Director for the DACH region (Germany, Switzerland, Austria) and will focus on scientific engagement with healthcare professionals (HCPs) involved in the care of patients with rare diseases. Through direct interactions, the MSL will drive disease awareness, support early diagnosis, and facilitate clinical trial enrolment. By collaborating with key medical experts and institutions, the MSL will enhance understanding of rare diseases and contribute to the success of ongoing research initiatives.

This field-based role requires a highly motivated professional with strong scientific expertise and the ability to engage clinicians across academic centres and community hospitals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain scientific relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and HCPs treating patients with rare diseases.
  • Educate HCPs on disease awareness and diagnostic approaches to improve early patient identification and facilitate clinical trial participation.
  • Collaborate with the clinical operations team to support patient recruitment by identifying suitable trial sites and engaging investigators.
  • Drive awareness of targeted rare diseases through scientific discussions and educational initiatives.
  • Deliver clinical and scientific presentations to medical professionals in academic, community, and healthcare settings.
  • Represent the company at medical congresses, providing scientific insights and updates.
  • Respond to medical inquiries related to clinical trial participation within the framework of applicable regulations.
  • Document scientific interactions and medical insights within the CRM system.
  • Provide occasional support for MSL activities in other regions as needed.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant scientific field (MD, PhD, PharmD, or MSc) with corresponding experience.
  • Proven working experience in a medical field role within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • background in rare diseases, particularly genetic disorders rereferred.
  • Proven ability to present complex scientific and clinical information effectively.
  • Fluent in German and English for scientific communication and internal collaboration at an international level.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50-60%, including overnight stays as required.
