Research Specialist B - Contract - Philadelphia, PA
À±½·ÊÓƵ is seeking a Research Specialist to join the team, focusing on the evolution and biology of HIV and SIV.
Primary Responsibilities:
This role involves supporting projects related to the isolation and characterization of HIV-1 and SHIV chimeras. The successful candidate will be working with DNA/RNA extraction, cloning, and genetic characterization, as well as implementing and troubleshooting PCR protocols, next-generation sequencing library preparation, and western blotting.
Skills & Requirements:
- Understanding of DNA/RNA extraction, cloning, and genetic characterization.
- Experience with PCR protocols, next-generation sequencing, and western blotting.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent education and experience.
- Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday in Philadelphia, PA.
The Research Specialist B's responsibilities will be:
- Conduct basic experiments to achieve research project goals under supervision.
- Assist in laboratory experiments and clinical studies for product or material development.
- Manage laboratory tools, documentation, and processes to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with Senior Research Specialists and Principal Investigator on experimental setups.
