Research Specialist B - Contract - Philadelphia, PA

��Ƶ is seeking a Research Specialist to join the team, focusing on the evolution and biology of HIV and SIV.

Primary Responsibilities:

This role involves supporting projects related to the isolation and characterization of HIV-1 and SHIV chimeras. The successful candidate will be working with DNA/RNA extraction, cloning, and genetic characterization, as well as implementing and troubleshooting PCR protocols, next-generation sequencing library preparation, and western blotting.

Skills & Requirements:

Understanding of DNA/RNA extraction, cloning, and genetic characterization.
Experience with PCR protocols, next-generation sequencing, and western blotting.
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent education and experience.
Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday in Philadelphia, PA.

The Research Specialist B's responsibilities will be:

Conduct basic experiments to achieve research project goals under supervision.
Assist in laboratory experiments and clinical studies for product or material development.
Manage laboratory tools, documentation, and processes to ensure regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with Senior Research Specialists and Principal Investigator on experimental setups.
