Senior Associate Scientist - Contract - Cambridge, MA

À±½·ÊÓƵ is seeking a Senior Associate Scientist to join our client's team in Cambridge, MA.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will focus on lab support and process development for the chemical synthesis and downstream processing of oligonucleotide-based drug substances. This position requires a proactive approach to technical support and optimization of manufacturing processes.

Skills & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry with laboratory experience, preferably in an industrial setting.
• Basic understanding and hands-on experience with analytical techniques like pH, osmolality, conductivity measurement, HPLC, and LC-MS.
• Familiarity with oligonucleotide manufacturing processes, including phosphoramidite chemistry and chromatography, is advantageous.
• Strong record-keeping skills and adherence to excellent laboratory documentation practices.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly laboratory environment.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team setting.

The Senior Associate Scientist's responsibilities will be:

• Provide hands-on lab support for chemical synthesis and downstream processing of oligonucleotides.
• Conduct synthesis of oligonucleotides up to 11 mmol scale.
• Perform downstream processing including prep-HPLC, ultrafiltration, annealing, concentration, and lyophilization.
• Carry out in-process analytical testing such as AX-HPLC, IPRP-HPLC, LCMS, and UV-vis.
• Offer technical support for optimizing contract manufacturing processes.
