À±½·ÊÓƵ is seeking a dynamic Director of Business Development to join our client's M&A team. In this role, you will focus on identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic business opportunities such as mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and collaborations within the pharmaceutical sector. Your efforts will aim to enhance the competitive position of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Present potential acquisition targets for approval by Board and Senior Management.
- Lead the team in assessing and acquiring targets from initial outreach to deal closure.
- Develop and implement business development and M&A strategies aligned with long-term goals.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends and growth opportunities.
- Identify and evaluate potential targets for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
- Maintain a pipeline of opportunities through networking and market research.
- Lead due diligence efforts, including financial, operational, and legal assessments.
- Coordinate evaluations of target companies with internal and external experts.
- Develop and negotiate term sheets, agreements, and contracts.
- Represent the company at industry events.
- Conduct financial modeling and valuation analyses for potential deals.
- Prepare detailed business cases and presentations for senior management review.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Degree in life sciences or pharmacy.
- Experience in commercial assessment, business development, M&A, or related roles within pharmaceuticals or biotechnology.
- Proven negotiation skills and experience managing deal processes.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Knowledge of UK & EU markets; US market knowledge is a plus.
- Experience in developing and mentoring team members.
